1) The given expression is

log4 64 = m

64 is expressed as 4^3

Thus, the given expression is

log4 4^3 = m

Recall

Logb m^k = kLogb m

where b is the base

Thus, our expression is

3Log4 4

Also,

Logb b = 1

Thus,

log4 4 = 1

3 * 1 = 3

Thus,

m = 3
