To find the measure of angle x, we use the intersecting chords theorem in a circle.

The theorem is shown below;


x=(1)/(2)(m\angle AB+m\angle CD)

Thus, using this theorem and comparing to the question, we have;


\begin{gathered} x=(1)/(2)(80+60) \\ x=(1)/(2)(140) \\ x=70^0 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the value of x = 70 degrees.
