The figure shown is a kite with the following dimensions;

Shorter diagonal (p) = 16 (8 + 8)

Longer diagonal (q) = 20 (9 + 11)


\begin{gathered} \text{Area}=(pq)/(2) \\ \text{Area}=(16*20)/(2) \\ \text{Area}=(320)/(2) \\ \text{Area}=160 \end{gathered}

The area of the kite is 160 cm
