there are two types of angles i want you to note.

1. complimentary angle

2. supplementary angle

complimentary angles are two angles that are equal to 90 degrees

sumplimentary angles are two or more angles that are equal to 180 degrees

in this case, the angles are not compliementary because they're above 90 degrees

noticed how i added an extra x?

well, the sum of supplimentary angles is equal to 180 degree (that's established already)

note: angles on a straight line is equal to 180 degree. i had to complete the line in this case so as to find the total angles on that straight line which are x , (x - 12) and 62 degrees respectively

now we can go straight to find x

\begin{gathered} x+(x-12)+62=180^0 \\ (\text{angles on a straight line = 180)} \\ x+x-12+62=180 \\ 2x+50=180 \\ 2x=180-50 \\ 2x=130 \\ (2x)/(2)=(130)/(2) \\ x=65^0 \end{gathered}

now that we know x = 65, we can find
