Explanation:

When there is an outlier, the mean is the best way to figure out the average. Median doesn't work because it determines the exact middle, and the outlier (that 2) would affect it greatly, and the mode doesnt work, because it is the value that apears most in the data set, but just because it appears most doesnt mean its the average.
