We have to multiply two numbers, one of which is a mixed number.

We proceed like this:

\begin{gathered} (-4\text{ 1/6})\cdot(3)/(5) \\ -4\cdot(3)/(5)-(1)/(6)\cdot(3)/(5) \\ -(12)/(5)-(3)/(30) \\ (-12\cdot2)/(5\cdot2)-(1)/(10) \\ -(24)/(10)-(1)/(10) \\ -(25)/(10) \\ -(5)/(2) \end{gathered}

We appy the distributive property to the mixed number as it is a binomial (sum of a integer and a fraction).

Answer: the result of the product is -5/2 = -2.5.
