Shape 1 has an area of 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4 in x 6 ft = 3/2 square ft

shape 3 = 3/2 square ft

shape 2 = 1/2 x 3 x 1/2=3/4 in x6 =9/2 ft

Total area =2(3/2) + 9/2 =15/2 square ft or 7.5 square ft
