Use the formula for the susface area of a sphere with radius r

A=4\cdot\pi\cdot r^2

remember that the radius is

r=(D)/(2)

find the radius

r=(34)/(2)=17m

replace in the formula for the surface area

\begin{gathered} A=4\cdot\pi\cdot(17)^2 \\ A\approx3631.68 \end{gathered}
