Answer: Y = 5 and X = -9
—————————-
5x + 13y = 20
-5x - 3y = 30
—————————-
10y = 50
So…. Y = 5
—————————-
5x + 13y = 20
5x + 13(5) = 20
5x + 65 = 20
5x = -45
X = - 9
