Given the formula;


\begin{gathered} \text{Distance}=\text{Speed}* time \\ D=s* t \end{gathered}

Then, the time taken is the ratio of the distance and the speed. That is;


t=(D)/(s)

But Deandre drives 203 miles at a constant speed of 58mph. Then, the time it took would be;


\begin{gathered} \text{Where;} \\ d=203\text{miles} \\ s=58\text{mph} \\ t=(203)/(58) \\ t=3.5 \end{gathered}

Hence, note that the unit of time in the problem is hour. Thus, the time taken to drive 203 miles at a constant speed of 58mph is 3.5hours
