Find domain of function in interval notation.

We have the following function:

f(x)=(7)/(x-9)

we can see that x can't be equal to 9 because we will get

\begin{gathered} f(9)=(7)/(9-9) \\ f(9)=(7)/(0)\longrightarrow\text{indeterminate} \end{gathered}

therefore, the domain is

x\in(-\infty,9)\cup(9,\infty)
