The given inequality is

1\leq3x-2<16

Adding 2 in the inequality, we get

1+2\leq3x-2+2<16+2

3\leq3x<18

Dividing by 3, we get

(3)/(3)\leq(3x)/(3)<(18)/(3)

1\leq x<6

Hence the solution of the inequality is

\lbrack1,6)

Option B is correct.
