An empty swimming pool needs to be filled to the top. The pool is shaped like a cylinder with a diameter of 5 m and a depth of 1.7 m. Suppose water is pumped into the pool at a rate of 13 m per hour. How many hours will it take to fill the empty pool? Use the value 3.14 for it, and round your answer to the nearest hour. Do not round any intermediate computations.

diameter = 5 m

depth = 1.7 m

rate = 13m^3/h

1.- Calcualte the volume of the pool

Volume = pi*r^2*h

Volume = 3.14*2.5^2*1.7

Volume = 33.4 m^3

2.- I'll use proportions to calculate the time

13m^3 ------------------------ 1 h

33.4 m^3 --------------------- x

x = (33.4x1)/13

x = 2.6 h

3.- Rounding to the nearest hour

Time = 3 h
