Why is osmosis important to the survival of a cell? What did you include in your response?

Answer: Osmosis is important to cells because it allows them to maintain water homeostasis.

Explanation: Osmosis pressure causes water to move passively both inside and outside of the cells. Life would be impossible if cells had to transfer water through active means because of the energy required.
