Are the triangles similar ? If yes state how they are similar

The objective is to prove whether the triangles are similar or not.

For a triangle to be similar, the ratio of corresponding sides should be equal.

Consider the given triangles as,

By considering the ratios,


(ED)/(AD)=(DC)/(BD)=(EC)/(AB)

Apply the given values in the above ratio.


\begin{gathered} (20)/(30)=(22)/(33)=(24)/(36) \\ (2)/(3)=(2)/(3)=(2)/(3) \end{gathered}

Thus, all the ratio of three sides are equal.

Hence, both the triangles are similar triangles.
