The two angles with "x", are linear pairs, which means they fall on the same line and add up to 180 degrees.

Thus, we can write and solve for x:

\begin{gathered} (6x+80)+(9x+70)=180 \\ 15x+150=180 \\ 15x=180-150 \\ 15x=30 \\ x=(30)/(15) \\ x=2 \end{gathered}

Now, z is a vertical angle with "6x+80" angle. They are equal. First,

x is 2, so

(6x+80) is 6(2)+80 = 12 + 80 = 92

So, z is equal to 92 degrees

x = 2

z = 92
