two consecutive integers are x and x + 1, therefore

\begin{gathered} x+x+1=-139 \\ 2x+1=-139 \\ 2x+1-1=-139-1 \\ 2x=-140 \\ (2x)/(2)=-(140)/(2) \\ x=-70 \end{gathered}

the

-70

-70 + 1 = -69
