We have the next equation

(5)/(3x-2)=(2)/(x+1)

First, we will multiplicate x+1 on both sides

(5(x+1))/((3x-2))=(2(x+1))/(x+1)
(5(x+1))/((3x-2))=2

then we multiply 3x-2 on both sides

(5(x+1)(3x-2))/((3x-2))=2(3x-2)

5(x+1)=2(3x-2)

then we do the products

5x+5=6x-4

then we sum like terms

\begin{gathered} 5x-6x=-5-4 \\ \end{gathered}
-x=-9

therefore

x=9

The solution set is {9}.
