This problem is about direct variations. We can solve it usig "the rule of three".

We know that y=1.44 when x=1.8, this is a given ratio which will multiply x=6.3

6.3\cdot(1.44)/(1.8)=(6.3\cdot1.44)/(1.8)=(9.072)/(1.8)=5.04

Therefore, when x=6.3, y=5.04.
