Finding the left-side area in the z-distribution is basically finding the following probability:


\begin{gathered} P\text{ \lparen z < }\alpha)\text{ = left area} \\ 1-P(\text{z < }\alpha)\text{ = right area} \end{gathered}

Consider alpha the value of z given by the exercise.

According to excel, this probability is equal to 0.982.
