Answer: 15.38% probability of picking one of four students out of 26 total

Explanation:

Total students = 26

Play neither sport = 5

Play either sport = 21

Basketball players = 18

Baseball players = 7

Those that play both:

(18+7)-21=25-21=4 play both sports

Check our math:

Basketball (14) + Baseball (3) + Both (4) + Neither sport (5) = 26

Probability of choosing a student that plays both:

P(A) = n (outcomes in A) / N (total possible outcomes)

P(A) = 4/26 = 0.1538

P(A) = 15.38% probability
