The y-coordinate whenx = 0 is 6. So, the y-intercept is 6.slope =riserunsloperiserun12 / 2= 1Part BUsing the slope and the y-intercept you found in part A, write an equation for the height in inches, y, in terms of the number of weeks, x. (Hint: Theequation for a line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.)

We are asked to determine the equation of the line given its y-intercept and its slope. To do that let's remember the general form of a line equation:

y=mx+b

Where "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept. Replacing the values we get:

y=x+6

And thus we get the equation.
