Consider the following quadratic equation:


2x^2+3x-10=0

to solve this equation, we apply the quadratic formula, to obtain the following solutions:


x=\frac{-3+\sqrt[]{89}}{4}

and


x=\frac{-3-\sqrt[]{89}}{4}

note that the square root of 89 is irrational then the whole number is irrational. We can conclude that the solutions of the given quadratic equation are

IRRATIONAL.
