To find the equation;

x₁ = 2 y₁ = 2 x₂ = 0 y₂=-4

we will use the formula;

y-y_1=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)(x_{}-x_1)

substituting the values into the above;

y-2=(-4-2)/(0-2)(x-2)

Then, we will go ahead and evaluate;

y-2\text{ = }(-6)/(-2)(x-2)

y-2\text{ =3(x-2)}

y - 2 = 3x - 6

add 2 to both-side of the equation

y = 3x -6+ 2

y = 3x -4
