How do you graph y=4x at x=-4? What does it look like on a graph

We want to plot the graph of the equation;


y=4x

we can do this by assuming to different values of x and deriving the corresponding values of y at those points.

for x= -4;


\begin{gathered} y=4(-4) \\ y=-16 \end{gathered}

Also taking a second point.

at x = 0;


\begin{gathered} y=4(0) \\ y=0 \end{gathered}

Since the equation is a linear equation, the graph will be a straight line graph;

the graph will be a straight lin passing through the two points derived.
