3\left(x+2\right)=4\left(x+1\right)

First, we have to solve the parentheses, by applying distributive property:


3(x)+3(2)=4(x)+4(1)
3x+6=4x+4

Add and subtract alike terms:


6-4=4x-3x
2=x
x=2
