In a deckk of 52 cards there are four 5 and four 7, so the probability to select randomly a 5 or a 7 is:


\begin{gathered} \text{prob}=\frac{success\text{ cases}}{total\text{ cases}} \\ \text{prob}=(8)/(52)=(2)/(13) \end{gathered}

The probability is 2/13
