3x-2y=-16

To convert this equation into slope-intercept form we have to isolate y. Subtracting 3x at both sides of the equation:

\begin{gathered} 3x-2y-3x=-16-3x \\ -2y=-3x-16 \end{gathered}

Dividing by -2 at both sides of the equation:

\begin{gathered} (-2y)/(-2)=(-3x-16)/(-2) \\ y=(-3x)/(-2)+(-16)/(-2) \\ y=(3)/(2)x+8 \end{gathered}
