In this case the answer is very simple. .

We must use the graph to find the answers.

Step 01:

Data

For x = 2 ===> y = 1

Step 02:

Direct variation equation

y = k * x

Constant of proportionality

x = 2 , y = 1

\text{ y = k }\cdot\text{ x}

\begin{gathered} 1\text{ = k }\cdot\text{ 2 } \\ (1)/(2)\text{ = k } \\ \end{gathered}

The solution is:

Constant of proportionality = k

k = 1/2

Direct variation equation

y = k * x

y = (1/2) * x
