Data

Point (4, 4)

Equation

y = -6x + 5

Procedure

As the straight line is parallel we use the same slope of the original straight line.

m = -6

Now we will calculate y-intercept

\begin{gathered} b=y-mx \\ b=4-(-6)\cdot4 \\ b=4+24 \\ b=28 \end{gathered}

The equation would be:

y=-6x+28
6x+y=28

Now in the standard form: 6x+y=28
