Total weight of the bag of dog food bought by John = 20 Pounds

Number of times the dog is fed in a day = 2

Weight consumed by the dog at each feeding = 3/4 Pound.

Therefore:

\begin{gathered} \text{Weight of food used per day = 2 }*(3)/(4)\text{ } \\ =(6)/(4) \\ =(3)/(2)\text{ Pounds} \end{gathered}

To determine how many days the 20-pound bag will last, we have:

\begin{gathered} \frac{20\text{ Pounds}}{(3)/(2)\text{ Pounds per day}} \\ =20*(2)/(3) \\ =(40)/(3) \\ =13(1)/(3)\text{ days} \end{gathered}

The 20-pound bag of dog food will last 13 1/3 days.
