Find the the slope that passes through (5,14 and (8,7)

We find the slope(m) by replacing the values in the following expression:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

That is:


m=(7-14)/(8-5)\Rightarrow m=-(7)/(3)

So, the slope equals -7/3.
