the given equation is

6x + 4y = 72

divide the equation by 2

3x + 2y = 36

3x + 2y - 36 = 0

compare with ax+by +c = 0

a = 3

b = 2

c = -36

x-intercept will be, -c/a = -(-36)/3 = 12

y intercept will be c/b = -36/2 = -18
