SOLUTION

Since the vacant lot has the shape of a rectangle;

A. To measure the perimeter, we will use the formula for perimeter of a rectangle given as

P=2(l+b)

Where L is the length and b is the breadth or width

So, the perimeter becomes

\begin{gathered} P=2(l+b) \\ P=2(110+30) \\ P=2(140) \\ P=2*140 \\ P=180ft \end{gathered}

B. The area of a rectangle is given as

A=l* b

So, the area becomes

\begin{gathered} A=110*30 \\ A=3300ft^2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the Perimeter is 180 feet and the Area is 3300 square-feet.
