r = 5 + x over w

multiple both sides by w

rw = 5 + x

subtract both sides by 5

rw - 5 = x

switch sides

x = rw - 5

ANSWER:

In the given expression, we have to solve for 'x', and show the steps.

r\text{ =}(5+x)/(w)

Next, I am gonna solve it for 'x'

\begin{gathered} r=(5+x)/(w) \\ M\text{ultiplying both sides by 'w' and subtracting 5 from both sides gives.} \\ wr=5+x \\ x=wr-5 \end{gathered}

We have solved for 'x'.
