We can find the distance between the points by means of the distance formula:

d=√((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)

where

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(-2,3) \\ (x_2,y_2)=(6,9) \end{gathered}

By substituting these values into the distance formula, we have

d=√((6-(-2))^2+(9-3)^2)

which gives

\begin{gathered} d=√((6+2)^2+6^2) \\ d=√(8^2+36) \\ d=√(64+36) \end{gathered}

so we have

\begin{gathered} d=√(100) \\ d=10 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the distance between the two points is 10 units.
