the two points are,

A(2,8)

B (6,-4)

the equation of the line in the slope intercept form is,

y-8=(-4-8)/(6-2)(x-2)
\begin{gathered} y-8=(-12)/(4)(x-2) \\ y-8=-3x+6 \\ y=-3x+14 \end{gathered}

thus, the equation of the line is

y = -3x + 14
