Two functions are called cofunctions if they are equal on complementary angles

\csc \theta=\sec ((\pi)/(2)-\theta)

Since

\theta=(\pi)/(4)

Substitute it in the rule above

\csc ((\pi)/(4))=sec((\pi)/(2)-(\pi)/(4))
\csc ((\pi)/(4))=\sec ((\pi)/(4))

The cofunction is sec(pi/4)
