The tangent of an angle, we will follow the steps below

Step 1: Write out the trigonometric ratio to obtain the tangent of an angle

\tan \emptyset=(opposite)/(adjacent)

From question 35

Step 2: Apply the tangent ratio

\begin{gathered} \tan A=\frac{\text{opposite}}{\text{adjacent}}=(60)/(100)=(6)/(10)=(3)/(5) \\ \tan A=(3)/(5)=0.6000 \end{gathered}

For tan B

\begin{gathered} \tan B=\frac{\text{opposite}}{\text{adjacent}}=(100)/(60)=(5)/(3) \\ \tan B=(5)/(3)=1.6667 \end{gathered}
