Problem iD: PRABERUZ On a flight from New York to London, an airplane travels at a constant speed. An equation relating the distance traveled 1 in miles, d, to the number of hours flying, t, is t=d. We have a relation between the distance traveled in miles (d) and the number of hours flying (t) that is t=(1/500)*d.

Then, when d=800, we have:

\begin{gathered} t=(1)/(500)\cdot d \\ t=(1)/(500)\cdot800=(800)/(500)=1.6 \end{gathered}

The time is 1.6 hours.

Answer: 1.6
