Determine weather the statement is always, sometimes, or never true. Explain your reasoning.

9. The graph of g(x)=ax^2 is wider than the graph of f(x)=x^2 when |a|<1.

Is there more context. Anyways, the width of a graph or a parabola is determining by the leading coefficient. Whether the sign is
negative or positive. it doesn’t matter, as you’re focus on width and not minimums or maximums; however as values, starting at 1 for “a”, start going up and the graph becomes narrow. Similarly for values less than one, the graph gets wider.
