Magnesium reacts with Phosphorus and produce Magnesium phosphide. The equation is:

Mg + P ---> Mg₃P₂

The balanced equation is:

3 Mg + 2 P ---> Mg₃P₂

It need to have the same amount of atoms of each element on both sides of the equation.
