The given equation is-

3x-3+5x=37

First, we reduce like terms

8x-3=37

Now, we sum 3 on each side

\begin{gathered} 8x-3+3=37+3 \\ 8x=40 \end{gathered}

At last, we divide the equation by 8

\begin{gathered} (8x)/(8)=(40)/(8) \\ x=5 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the solution is 5.
