The power of kettle is given as,

P=(V^2)/(R)

Plug in the known values,

\begin{gathered} 1000\text{ W=}((220V)^2)/(R) \\ R=\frac{(220V)^2}{1000\text{ W}}(\frac{1\text{ ohm}}{1V^2W^(-1)})_{} \\ =48.4\text{ ohm} \end{gathered}

Thus, the resistance of the kettle is 48.4 ohm.
