we can corrobarate this using pythagorean theorem:


\begin{gathered} c^2=a^2+b^2 \\ \text{where:} \\ c>a,c>b \end{gathered}

Let:


\begin{gathered} a=12 \\ b=16 \\ c=20 \\ 20^2=12^2+16^2? \\ 400=144+256 \\ 400=400 \\ \end{gathered}

since the equality is satisfied, we can conclude that it is possible to make a right triangle using those numbers
