Answer:

An active volcano is a volcano that has recently erupted or erupted in the last 600 years. An inactive volcano has not yet erupted or has not erupted in a long time (About 800 years or so)

Answer:

An active volcano is a volcano that has had at least one eruption during the past 10,000 years. An active volcano might be erupting or dormant. An erupting volcano is an active volcano that is having an eruption.

A Dormant volcanoes have not erupted for a very long time but may erupt at a future time. Extinct volcanoes are not expected to erupt in the future. Inside an active volcano is a chamber in which molten rock, called magma, collects.
