Given: Ratio of students that voted for A compared to B is 7:4

A recieved 21 votes so let B recieve x votes.

So as the given ratios,

(7)/(4)=(21)/(x)
x=(21*4)/(7)=12

Hence, combined votes received by candidate A and B is 12+21=33
