1. combine into fraction form (works easier for me) you should get 66=-6(x+3)/5
2. distribute the top half of the fraction, you should get 66=-6x-18/5
3. multiply both sides by 5 (cancels out the denominator of 5) you should get 330=-6x-18
4. add 18 to both sides, you get 348=-6x
5. divide both sides by -6 and you get x=-58
Answer is -58
