The slope-intercept form is

→ y = m x + b

→ m is the slope

→ b is the y-intercept

∵ The given equation is

y+10=(1)/(3)(x+9)

First, multiply the bracket (x + 9) by 1/3

\begin{gathered} \because y+10=(1)/(3)(x)+(1)/(3)(9) \\ \therefore y+10=(1)/(3)x+3 \end{gathered}

Subtract 10 from both sides

\begin{gathered} \because y+10-10=(1)/(3)x+3-10 \\ \therefore y+0=(1)/(3)x-7 \\ \therefore y=(1)/(3)x-7 \end{gathered}

The equation in the slope-intercept form is y = 1/3 x - 7
