For the function y=x we just have to replace the values in the table for the x so:

\begin{gathered} -3\to x=-3 \\ -2\to x=-2 \\ -1\to x=-1 \\ 0\to x=0 \\ 1\to x=1 \\ 2\to x=2 \\ 3\to x=3 \end{gathered}

and for y = |x| we have to change all the negative values for positive:

\begin{gathered} -3\to\mleft|x\mright|=3 \\ -2\to|x|=2 \\ -1\to|x|=1 \\ 0\to|x|=0 \\ 1\to|x|=1 \\ 2\to|x|=2 \\ 3\to|x|=3 \end{gathered}
